Off-Network Status Page

We stopped the Blastoid Move due to the move being too resource intensive to continue during the high traffic time of the day. The move is about 46% done.

We did have one snafu, it was entirely our fault, and we apologize profusely.  /var filled up and maxed out due to our db size calculations being off, and we had to move the mysql databases to the /home directory from the /var partition due to their being too much data to contain. To do that, the dbs had to be turned off to prevent data corruption, and so db backends were down for a bit this morning on Espeon.

Lesson learned, mea culpa. Next time, when we think we should just go ahead and move their location first, I’m going to go with that feeling and do it first.

We’ll continue moving late tonight, after peak traffic times.
